Sem Título / Sala Branca 2014
SINOPSE
Over one year in residency at Carpe Diem Art and Reasearch, Edgar Pires gave continuity to his in situ intervention projects, developed in previous exhibitions. At the Pombal Palace, where he has explored sunlight as source for the creation of images adapted to the unique characteristics of the White Room. Edgar Pires developed numerous spontaneous tests on its interior, through processes that gave rise to ephemeral light images, mostly documented in photography, other, more specific, video. At this stage, there were no objects just the idea of an installation composed only of light/reflections, projected inside the palace installation. The purpose of this project has changed and culminated in a set of three sculptural flat glass objects that will filter the sunlight coming through the windows, and cause a transformation in terms bright inside the room for two hours.
