The objects abandoned in the landscape are absorbed by the environment, in a constant process of transformation. It is upon these objects – seen as sculptures, both for their form and for the way in which they are integrated into the landscape – that Márcio Vilela focuses his work.
Mono, the work that Vilela presents at Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa, was born from this confrontation and constructs itself in accordance with its place and its appropriation over time. It is a process that reveals a new perception of the landscape and involves us in a new metamorphosis of the object.
