Cristina Lamas

UNTITLED

Cristina Lamas

The project is a series of six drawings with variable dimensions inspired by the visually rich decorative elements of the old Palácio Pombal. The palace is filled with frescos, low reliefs, mosaics and tiles. I take advantage of these visual elements, translating them freely into drawings. Exhibited in atypical places from the ones that have originated them, I intent to play with the viewer’s memory. Creating rhythmic exercises and mirror effects, which lead to constant hermeneutic of work/space, throughout a path within the palace.
