De onde os rios se encontram para formar o mar

As if to read the currents of the ocean, I have observed, the maternal home window, the sea of Boa Viagem beach in Recife, northeast of Brazil, a place where I was born. This beach and this sea, are the first known: they are the places where I still feel at home, free from the uncomfortable strangeness that hits me for the rest of the city, after a round of over thirty years. Not without reason, or feeling, I am interested in your landscape more gray days when the clouds cover almost everything and the rain hammering insistently windows. When I was invited to participate in the programming of Carpe Diem Art and Research/2014, I was in Recife and immediately thought this sea that unites us. After this first time, and having gone through different paths in search, the sea returned to my universe. This time, through hundreds of rolls of parchment paper that has been covered and covered by lines in different shades of blue, alluding to the endless colors and incessant motion of seas and oceans. Watch the sea as well as the gesture of tracing paper sheets on risks, extends the feelings of space and time, and creates a place of calm, within which one can be surprised by the simplicity. The work that is emerging intersects times and memories; obvious issues concerning memory and oblivion; gives to the free association of ideas. E refers to a multitude of things that might just guessing, never be sure what they are. Wondering who will occupy the old kitchen in the basement of Pombal Palace - perhaps the most beautiful and mysterious room of the place - I'm wondering when the Library of the Kings of Portugal, as in Rio de Janeiro, expanded the catacombs of a Carmelite convent. Will my seas and oceans also rare works? Secret documents of a lost library? Over a long wooden table, located between the former columns of kitchen rolls hundred are arranged side by side on each other. Endless blue. Around her three small monitors show the gray days in Boa Viagem - an open and two other camera zoom in, when after all, only you can see the sea, beach or no horizon. To read the ocean currents, while the rain pounds the windows of the house
