Impero,2010, aims to establish a bridge between the rules, manoeuvres and social-political action that governed the Roman Empire and those governing the contemporary western world today. Along with text signed by André Theodosius, the video exercises a parallelism between the concept of individual and collec-tive empire, thus showing opposing positions of a period full of possibilities and promises, and another that is sinking into despair of collapse.

Augusta, 2008, is based on the comedy “The Birds” by Aristophanes. It presents a dialogue between two stone lions regarding the creation of a new city and ideology in opposition to the oppressive regime of the ancient city. In spite of this, the description of the new city, from its new social workings, and from its new ideology, reveals the same imperialist characteristics of the original city and ideology.
